The courageous and brilliant Diana West once again dedicates the scholarship and sheer tenacity and time needed to sort through one of the most disabling, distracting, and dividing themes of the day-- disorienting and blinding us to the real issues and subtexts we need to see for our own survival and the survival of the Western World. This column is a must read! Thank you, Diana. ~ Ginger Breggin

1. One can pat one's head and rub one's stomach at the same time -- i.e., it's possible to ignore one wrong while calling attention to another wrong -- one can ignore the Jihad while shining a light on a potential Jewish problem. The former does not necessarily invalidate the latter (unless one is applying rationality selectively).

2. "...Jews and Christians, who, once upon a time, made the Western world."

It's arguable that Western Civilization (aka Christendom) from the 4th century A.D. to the 19th century A.D. was largely anti-Jew. This fact commonly in our current culture toilet-trained by the Mainstream (even including most critics of the Mainstream) triggers the "Leftist Two-Step": First deny the claim; then, when evidence is adduced to back it up, move to Step 2 -- "Oh okay, it was largely anti-Jew, but that's because before the Progressive Enlightenment, Western Civilization was Evil and Racist and Misogynistic and Homophobic and.... Anti-Semitic".
